The recruitment is being conducted for eligible sportspersons for filling up 64 vacancies, including 21 posts under Group C and 43 posts under erstwhile Group D. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill both the prescribed educational qualification and sports achievement requirements for the relevant pay level. Sports achievements considered for this recruitment must fall within the prescribed period and be in recognized events and championships.

Candidates must also possess the prescribed Level 5/4 sports achievement, such as representing the country in Olympic Games (Senior Category) or securing at least 3rd position in specified recognized World Cup, World Championship, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Youth Olympics, Champions Trophy (Hockey), or Thomas/Uber Cup (Badminton) events. |
| Level 3/2 | Candidates must have passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent from a recognized Board, or Matriculation with completed Act Apprenticeship, or Matriculation with ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT. Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed Level 3/2 sports achievement norms. |
| Level 1 | Candidates must have passed 10th from a recognized Board, or possess ITI/equivalent qualification, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. Candidates must also fulfill the prescribed Level 1 sports achievement norms. |
| Age Limit | Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 25 years as on 01/01/2027. Candidates born between 01/01/2002 and 01/01/2009, both days inclusive, are eligible to apply. |

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of sports achievement assessment, selection trials, educational qualification, merit, and prescribed medical fitness requirements.

The selection assessment carries a total of 100 marks: 50 marks for recognized sports achievements, 40 marks for game skill, physical fitness and coach's observation during trials, and 10 marks for educational qualification. Candidates must secure at least 25 out of 40 marks in the trial to be assessed for the next stage. Minimum qualifying marks are 70 for Level 5/4, 65 for Level 3/2 and 60 for Level 1.
